The model quotes a price you never charged

Why does the answer quote a price we never charged?

Prices change more often than anything else on a site. Old versions stay in archives, in directories and in the data a model was trained on.

A price quoted too low costs you the conversation in the room: the customer arrives with a number you cannot hold. A price quoted too high costs you the call.

Models with live web access take the first price they find, even when it belongs to a different service.

What to do about it

  1. Put prices on your own site as text, with the date of the last change.
  2. Name the service the way customers ask for it, and put the price in the same sentence.
  3. Remove old price lists instead of only unlinking them.
  4. After every price change, check what the models say four weeks later.

Where this stops

We only check prices you have entered. Without your figure there is nothing to compare against.
